Lindsey Graham in Support of Bipartisan COVID Relief Package

Senator Lindsey Graham recently urged President Trump and fellow senators to pass more coronavirus relief legislation, namely the House Problem-Solvers bipartisan $1.5 trillion stimulus relief package.

After the president called off bipartisan talks on legislation until after the election, Senator Graham asked him to start again by looking at the bipartisan bill.

“Time to come together to help America deal with COVID as we move toward a vaccine,” the senator tweeted.

On Tuesday, Trump said on Twitter that he would support specific relief measures, including stimulus checks, as well as the airline industry and small-business loans.

“Both of these will be fully paid for with unused funds from the Cares Act,” the president tweeted. “Have this money. I will sign now!”

Senator Graham has a history of fighting for COVID relief legislation in Congress, saying in July: “Just as soon as we get back (from the two-week recess), we need to get off our ass and get this done.”

“Congress needs to act … to continue this trend,” he said. “If we had the right kind of stimulus package, we would be going through the roof by October in terms of economic growth.”

Senator Graham is helping lead the fight against COVID-19, regardless of partisan politics. His leadership is invaluable to all Americans who are suffering as a result of the pandemic.
