Mike Pence visits South Carolina to Campaign for Senator Graham

Vice President Mike Pence lavished praise on U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and President Donald Trump during a rally Saturday in Greenville to mark the launch of Graham’s bid for a fourth term.

“I’m here to say that we need six more years of Senator Lindsey Graham and four more years of President Donald Trump,” Pence said.

Looking ahead to next year’s election, Pence said, “We’ve got to ask ourselves: Will we let the Democrats take America on a hard left turn and reverse the gains that we’ve made in our security and our prosperity and the advance of our values, or will we re-elect a president and re-elect a senator that are making America great again?”

Graham, a Republican from Seneca, spoke before Pence. He took the microphone after state Rep. Rita Allison, South Carolina Secretary of State Mark Hammond, state Attorney General Alan Wilson, Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette and Gov. Henry McMaster warmed up the crowd.

“So I’ve been your senator for a while now, and if it’s all right with you, I’d like to keep my job,” said Graham, who claimed “the best is yet to come.”
